Liam is an American/German student studying at Leiden University College The Hague in the Netherlands. He is receiving a liberal arts degree in Global Challenges with a specialization in Global Public Health. He is the founder of The Hague's EA group, THEA. Before attending university, he was a waiter, middle school science teacher, kayak guide, ropes course instructor, opera understudy, and TV & movie extra.

I am looking for advice on what I should do in life 😬 -- convince me why I should pursue "x". I like learning about many things, but not anything super in-depth (I often get bored when things become very technical). I'm currently trying to figure out how I can best contribute to AI safety, but I am unsure of if I should go down the technical or governance route. Some other things I am interested in pursuing are high impact research management, aging research, consciousness research, and journalism.

I can talk to you about my successes and mistakes from community building for over a year. Also, just happy to chat about anything!
