Organiser of the EY Ambitious Altruism, EA London Women and NB monthly socials and EA London Quarterly Review sessions.

In my day job, I'm an accountant and currently work as an associate product manager for a tax workflow tool for EY.

Interested in community building, particularly for:

  • women
  • accountants
  • those working in large corporates
  • those who feel like they do not belong in the EA movement

Agree! This also seems like a good place to plug that we're hosting a picnic for GWWC pledgees, effective givers and the pledge curious on Sunday 30th July in Regents Park, London details: https://forum.effectivealtruism.org/events/xPk9y8GJfTReRRvh5/giving-what-we-can-social-picnic-london

That seems reasonable - I think the target audience for effective giving is much bigger.

The call-to-action is really what I'm getting at so pleased to see that ☺️

I think MoreGood would be a great rebrand for the forum!

Very excited about the "EA as a university" concept and am looking forward to hearing more!

Where do you see GWWC and commitments to effective giving fitting into this? Do you expect to promote this as a norm?

Thanks for writing this! A friend and were just discussing this the other day.

Did you see this post about an Earn to Learn pledge? (ie. aimed at early career folk who might be better working a normal professional job before moving into direct work)

What did you think about it?

Reminds me of this scene from Glass Onion: https://twitter.com/KnivesOut/status/1611769636973854723?s=20
