I've literally been trying to help people get prepared for the worst for 20+ years. I spent six years volunteering with the Red Cross for disaster preparedness and response, among many other things. Generally, I've failed. Our natural biases prevent us from seeing reality...until it's too late. Normalcy bias is perhaps the #1 culprit here.
>99% of people I know are woefully ill-prepared for any major emergencies. This includes essentially everyone reading this now.
To help correct that, I'm now launching my likely last organization: Bunker in Paradise. It's an attempt to "back up" some of civilization in case of non-extinction level catastrophes and direct money into the existential safety space.
Each shelter will be fitted with resources needed to restart small communities in case of a major catastrophe. And each shelter will be custom designed around the client's specific needs so they can feel at least a modicum of security.
100% of profits will go to existential safety, as per my other organization's Profits for Safety Pledge. (If you're running a profitable company, I'd encourage you to take the pledge.)
I'd encourage everyone to consider writing out your survival plans now. You can do the basics in an hour. More thorough plans take several hundred hours to develop and hundreds more hours to execute. If you have the financial means, please consider letting my team serve you throughout your preparedness journey.
