Hey! Don't forget about "Colossus: the Forbin Project". Predates "Terminator" by fourteen years and is certainly more realistic in its depiction of the existential risk of AI than is Terminator. Also, as a bonus, doesn't need time travel, and doesn't have silly robot one-liners.
