This is a presentation based on a draft of a paper that I worked on for a project on population ethics in graduate school, "Some Loopholes in the Impossibility Theorem for Welfarist Axiology," that was accepted to the 2025 South West Graduate Philosophy Conference.

The basic intention of the work is to point out two "loopholes" in the proof for the welfarist axiology impossibility theorem formalized by Gustaf Arrhenius (2000), which I hope opens doors to certain kinds of plausible welfare axiologies.

I figured that I would post it here for Draft Amnesty Week because the topic of population ethics is germane to discussed by Effective Altruists, and hopefully it has explanatory value.
