Abstract:

I wrote this article because I'm continuing to see a sort of short-sighted perspective with elections. I wanted to reframe that again to refocus on a more long-term viewpoint. The article addresses the many voting method ballot initiatives that went down, particularly the RCV ones. I touch on where it makes sense to focus efforts going forward. There is also a plug for the voting methods book I'm doing as well as ballot initiative opportunities for approval voting.
