The 80,000 Hours podcast features In-depth conversations about the world’s most pressing problems and what listeners can do to solve them.

In this (roughly three hour) episode, the 80,000 Hours team interviews the cofounder and CEO of GiveWell, Elie Hassenfeld, to discuss some criticisms the organization has recently faced. Namely, they discuss pushes to focus on directly increasing subjective wellbeing or on raising economic growth as opposed to GiveWell's traditional approach of improving lives the most per dollar.
