My "Career Stage" is both undergraduate degree and Master's degree because I'm going for both at the same time.
I'm looking for AI Safety research positions for summer 2025: the summer before my senior year of college. As I understand it, the way to get into AI research may start with me gaining reputation and experience in a non-AI software development role that summer.
I'm having trouble deciding between academia and industry. Guidance is valuable.
If you are considering applying to Northwestern and want to hear about EA, AI Safety, computer science, or development economics here, feel free to reach out! (I could also put you in contact with my animal welfare friends)
